Our project looks into the evolution of diversity and representation at the Academy Awards, highlighting the racial and gender biases that have historically influenced the film industry. By analyzing datasets from the Oscars, we examine trends in nominations and wins, focusing on gender and racial representation. We also highlight historical milestones, current challenges, and potential future developments in inclusivity. Through this analysis, we aim to understand how the Oscars have reflected on  societal issues and the film industry’s progress towards greater diversity and equality.
